Dr. Peter J. Jaffe, D.O.
Dr. Peter Jaffe is a board certified physician who specializes in the non-operative care of spine, joint and muscular pain and utilizes various techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Jaffe completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation through Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan. Dr. Jaffe received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Iowa and his bachelors degree from The University Of Vermont.He then received additional training in electro- diagnostic medicine, diagnostic ultrasound and ultra sound guided interventional procedures.
In 1995, Dr. Jaffe began his practice with offices in Moorestown and Princeton, New Jersey . In 2002 he moved with his family to Naples, Florida and opened a comprehensive rehabilitation practice which incorporates both medical and therapeutic intervention all under one roof. This allows a seamless and coordinated approach to patient care. Jaffe Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation continues to operate with this vision.
Aaron Howell, D.O.
Jaffe Sports Medicine is excited to announce a new addition to our team, Dr Howell, D.O. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and has extensive experience helping people recover from pain. Dr. Howell treats patients with a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and image-guided procedures for pain management. He can help pin-point and treat the origin of your pain, and help you live, work, and play PAIN FREE. Dr Howell attended medical school at West Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, his residency at ECU/ Vidant Medical Center in Greensville,NC, and he interned at VCOM in Blacksburg, VA.
Dr. Pierre Rojas, D.O.
Dr. Rojas attended Nova Southeastern University of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, FL where he obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rojas completed his Residency at Wayne State University/Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, Michigan. He will be providing Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services throughout Lee and Collier Counties.
Dr. Eric M. Johnson, MD
Dr. Eric Johnson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine. His focus is on minimally invasive techniques and treatments for shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, wrist, and hip injuries. Whether you are a world-class athlete or weekend warrior, Dr. Johnson will help you return to the sport that you love as quickly as possible.
Dr. Johnson attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors in chemical engineering. He received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburg, PA and went on to complete his orthopedic residency training serving as chief resident during his final year.
Following the Haitian earthquake in 2010, Dr. Johnson led a voluntary emergency surgical insertion team to Port Au Prince where he provided emergency disaster relief and orthopaedic trauma surgery to those in need.
After his residency, Dr. Johnson was accepted into the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation fellowship training program in Los Angeles, CA. At Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic he completed an additional year of training in sports medicine under the guidance of world experts. This highly competitive fellowship has produced more leading sports medicine surgeons in the world than any other sports medicine fellowship and it is very highly regarded in the field of sports medicine.
Dr. Johnson has served as assistant team physician for multiple professional teams (including the Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Sparks). Through these positions, Dr. Johnson gained invaluable experience treating world-class athletes.
Dr. Johnson currently provides orthopaedic treatment and coverage for the PGA as well as the OHSAA state tournament football championships. He has had extensive experience serving as team physician for multiple high schools, and he has been the covering orthopaedic surgeon for the World Golf Classic in Akron.
Dr. Johnson is active in orthopaedic societies and has published papers in peer reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He has also presented nationally as well as at the annual Sports Medicine Academy.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Johnson enjoys golfing, college football, travel, and spending time with his family.
David Ortiz, PT
Promoting functional mobility thru rehabilitation, David moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2013 from Bogota, Colombia. He studied Physical Therapy at Rosario University Bogota, Colombia and proceeded to work in rehabilitation in the community since 2013. Passionate about restoring functional mobility in different work settings, David has been part of home health, skilled nursing and outpatient settings. Thankful for practicing a fulfilling career, David keeps up with community participation by playing soccer and community volunteering in YMCA soccer coaching.
Graham Jones, MSPT
Graham has been a Physical Therapist for 10 years. Graham has had an extensive physical therapy career evening having previously worked for Jaffe Sports Medicine from 2007-2010 before he returned to his home town of Toronto, Canada to continue my career and start a family. He and his wife, Lesley, have recently returned to SW Florida with their 2 children and are excited to be back with Dr Jaffe and his team. Graham has completed his Masters of Physical Therapy Education at D’Youville College and now enjoys treating patients in all aspects of physical therapy, yet has a special interest in athletic injuries and sport specific interventions.
Lesley Jones, MSPT
Lesley has been a Physical Therapist in both Canada and the US for 10 years. With her vast experience in physical therapy, Lesley has previously worked for Jaffe Sports Medicine and is very excited to be back with Dr. Jaffe. During her career, she has worked in many different settings and enjoys working with sport related injuries as well as specializes in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. When she is not at the office, she enjoys sports, the beach and most of all, spending time her husband and 2 children.
Amy Wiggins, PTA
Amy is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. She earned her Degree in Science from Broward College. She knew from a young age that she would choose a career in the healthcare field. After observing various areas in medicine she discovered her passion in physical therapy. She has found that helping people return back to their active lifestyles after surgery or injury has been very rewarding.
Aristidis Kantaras, PTA
Aris Kantaras is a staff Physical Therapist Assistant at Jaffe Sports Medicine in North Naples, Florida. Aris grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and graduated from Campbell Memorial High School where he enjoyed and excelled at multiple sports while receiving All State Honors in football during his senior year.
Finding his niche in physical therapy after receiving rehab post ACL surgery, Aris decided to pursue his Associates in Applied Science degree from Kent State University and ultimately graduated with honors.
Deciding to return to college to be a PTA as a non-traditional student was one of the best decisions that Aris says he has made. Assisting patients on the road to recovery is his passion and the patients that he meets at Jaffe Sports Medicine inspire him to give his all to each patient that he treats.
Aris now lives in Naples with his spouse Maria and dog Leo. Since Aris is an avid golfer and enjoys many different outdoor activities, he has made himself at home in Naples.
Stephanie Mills, PTA
Originally from Ohio, Stephanie excelled as a personal trainer. She was intrigued with the intricacies of Rehabilitation and it led her to study physical therapy. Stephanie graduated with honors from Stark State University in North Canton Ohio in May of 2012 with her degree as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Shortly after graduating she met her husband and 3 years ago decided to move from Ohio to Naples, Florida. She is extremely focused on rehabilitating her patients back to their highest level of functional outcomes. Stephanie remains active with swimming and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is blessed to have her first baby just 8 months ago.
